Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the SureRento Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use SureRento. By registering, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering contracts.

3. Landlord obligations

• All listing information must be accurate and current.
• You must submit a valid National ID and pass the selfie verification check.
• Photos and 360° tours must show the actual unit being listed.
• You must keep availability status up to date.
• You may not use the Platform to list properties you do not have the right to rent out.

4. Seeker obligations

• You may only leave a review for a unit you physically inspected after booking through the Platform.
• Reviews must be honest and based on your actual experience.
• You may not use unlock payments to harvest contact details for bulk outreach.
• You may not resell unlocked contact details to third parties.

5. Payments

Unlock fees and package payments are processed via MTN and Airtel Mobile Money. All fees are displayed in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) before you pay. Payments are final unless a refund is granted under our Refund Policy.

6. Prohibited conduct

• Posting false, misleading, or duplicate listings.
• Attempting to circumvent the unlock payment system.
• Harassing, threatening, or defrauding other users.
• Using automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data.
• Impersonating another person or organisation.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to users or the Platform. Where possible, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to respond.

8. Limitation of liability

SureRento provides a platform for landlords and seekers to connect. We verify identities and listing information to the best of our ability, but we are not a party to any rental agreement and we are not liable for disputes between landlords and seekers.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kampala, Uganda.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll notify registered users of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
